Achievements

Kiwanis Accomplishments: October 1, 2005-September 30, 2006

  • Provided scholarships for two Randolph High School students to attend Key Leader program

  • Provided scholarships for two Randolph Middle School students to attend Youth Leadership Training Institute

  • Co-sponsored Gordon Raupp Fishing Derby, stocked the pond with trout and staffed the event.

  • Hosted holiday party for the low-income children and families on Bennett Avenue in Randolph.

  • Supported Writings on the Wall literary magazine with a $200 donation

  • Supported Forensics debate program at Randolph High School with a $200 donation

  • Supported Project Acorn, a nonprofit providing scholarships to preschool children, with a donation of $100. 

  • Attended 11 Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremonies and presented each Eagle Scout with a recognition certificate

  • Supported Boy Scouts Eagle Scout projects throughout Randolph with donations totaling $700.

  • Provided scholarship for one Girl Scout to attend the Girl Scouts Camp at Jockey Hollow.

  • Awarded two college scholarships to Randolph High School graduates

Kiwanis Accomplishments: October 1, 2004-September 30, 2005

  • Established new Kiwanis garden

  • Provided on-going support to Calvary Baptist Church for their clothing ministry

  • Provided on-going support to the Randolph Fire Department for ice and water rescue

  • Participated in Neighbors Helping Neighbors and Randolph Clean-Up days

  • Provided scholarships for three Randolph High School students to attend the first Key Leader program

  • Provided scholarships for two Randolph students to attend Girls State conference

  • Provided scholarships for two Randolph Middle School students to attend Youth Leadership Training Institute

  • Provided partial scholarship to student participating in an International Student Volunteers program

  • Funded one full scholarship for special needs children through PEC

  • Funded two Eagle Scout projects for Boy Scouts

  • Supported development at Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts camps

  • Supported Boy Scouts trailer campaign

  • Funded Randolph Police Explorers, Project Graduation, Renaissance program

  • Co-sponsored Gordon Raupp Fishing Derby

  • Funded Homes from Around the World exhibit at Community Children’s Museum

  • Provided trophy for Randolph High School Band “Under the Stars” band competition

  • Provided on-going support to Sturge Weber Foundation and Allegro School

  • Worked closely with the “Heartfelt HUGS” campaign to raise money for South Asian Tsunami relief in cooperation with HUGS for Children

  • Funded two educational enrichment activities at El Primer Paso

  • Supported Kids Day America

  • Hosted parenting workshop

  • Hosted Read Around the World program

  • Awarded two scholarships to Randolph High School graduates; increased award amount to $1,500 per year, renewable for four years

  • Sponsored new Aktion Club of Morris County

  • Made a bicentennial commitment of $10,000 to relocate and expand the Randolph Museum

  • Achieved first place club newsletter in the New Jersey District of Kiwanis for K-Family Chronicle, edited by Melanie Negrin
